What is up right now?

Right now, in the co-working space called New Work City, there is a small but active crowd working on preparing their presentations for the start-up companies that they have been working on this weekend. There are more males than females but not overwhelmingly so, especially for a tech event. The crowd, such as it is, is dressed casually and often quite informal in its attire.

The information in the previous paragraph is of minimal importance for a co-working space, with the amount of people being somewhat relevant and the rest less so, but such things are critical when deciding if you want to go to a bar or other entertainment/dining venue. Other sites may tell the casual internet user what the crowds were like when someone went there in the past, but there is no trustworthy place to discover what a crowd is like in a nearby venue RIGHT NOW. Until now.

Wazzupnow, which is one of the fledgling companies being built at Startup Weekend NYC, is working on filing that void. As of half an hour from now, what will be up is that pitches will start and the seven active teams will vie for the prizes and therefore the opportunity to more easily provide a valuable service to last minute decision-makers everywhere.

When we win, we will be all like Wuzzupnow! Booya! Except in different words because it's not a dozen years ago. It is now. and we are all about the now.
